Documents for marriage at AryaSamaj2.0

If the marrying couple does not require any certificate from AryaSamaj2.0, then just a formal application with self declaration is enough. Following documents are required for obtaining a certificate.

  • Affidavits on Rs. 100 stamp paper are to be made separately by bride and groom ( i.e. there are two affidavits ). Proforma for affidavits is available for downloads. This mainly has age and related detail with a solemn declaration that the marriage is being done without any force or financial considerations.
  • Affidavits are to be notarized. However, a lawyer is not required to make these affidavits. Any stamp paper vendor ( or notary ) will provide this to you.
  • Certain co-operative banks also provide franking facilities to stamp affidavits written on plain paper and convert it into legal document
  • AryaSamaj2.0 can help you to get these affidavits made. Personal physical presence is necessary for a Notary to sign the affidavit. Certain notaries would insist on pasting a photograph on the affidavit.
  • Affidavits are to be physically ( in original ) available with AryaSamaj2.0. No certificate is issued unless these affidavits are submitted.
  • Identity proof for Bride and Groom – Any documenting with the photograph like PAN, Aadhar card, passport is sufficient.
