‘No’ to these ‘Marriages’

As a policy , AryaSamaj 2.0 does not participate /conduct marriage between two consulting adults if one or more of the following conditions are present. This applies to both social and nuclear marriages.

If the bride is less than 21 years of age and the groom is less than 24 years.
If the age difference between bride and groom is more than 10 years.
If one of the families is very poor and the other one is very rich.
If either of the bride or groom is highly educated and other one is not so literate.
When parents of the bride/groom are not at all aware of the marriage or intention of couple to get married. Please note that the consent or approval of parents is not required but they must be aware of impending marriage. Parents can not be kept in dark.
When marriage is deemed to be a secretive affair, Many times, couples want to keep their marriage hidden and use it later when parents look for an alliance.
When marriage is being solemnized only for setting a property dispute or an equivalent legal reason.
If either bride/ groom is studying and are solely dependent on their parents financially for their survival. Married couple (or their parents) shown be able to financially support themselves.
