Who is it for ?

Contrary to common perception, Shanti Havan is not for the departed soul. Antim’ (meaning last) Sanskar has already been done. There are absolutely no duties left towards the departed soul.

Shanti Havan is for the family and relatives who are left behind. They are the ones who are in Grief. They are the ones who need strength and courage. Shanti Havan seeks blessings from God for the family. Friends and relatives are around to extend their support for the same.
