Love or Arranged Marriage

These are most talked about and tossed about adjectives in marriages. Many a times, inter-caste marriages or outside-the-society marriages are called Love marriages ( as if there is no love in arranged marriage or nothing arranged in love marriages).

‘Love’ is the basic ingredient – and respect is the fundamental pre-requisite of every marriage. First requirement id marriage is that bride and groom like one another and respect one another. This is the only essential conditions – rest all is secondary.

Yes, at times, elders or relatives may not willingly participate in a a marriage ( or are even against the alliance ). AryaSamaj2.0 calls these marriages as ‘Nuclear Marriage’ where only close friends and well wishers are present. On the other hand, ‘Social marriage’ are the ones where full family is participating. Needless to say that Love is equally present in both types.

There is no different in Sanskar ( or Vidhi ) for Nuclear or Social marriage. Same set of ceremonies are done. However, AryaSamaj2.0 has certain restrictions about nuclear marriage and insists that the bride and groom must meet us in person to explain reasons of non-consent by family. We are as much with their families as we are with them.
